After nearly 13 years leading the Souderton Area School District as Superintendent of Schools, and 25 years of administrative leadership in the district, Dr. Frank Gallagher is publicly announcing his retirement, effective June 30, 2026. Dr. Gallagher has led the district with passion, commitment, and integrity, and his steady leadership and love of this school community will be greatly missed. Dr. Gallagher began his career as an emotional support and learning support teacher in Bucks County. He became Principal of Lower Salford Elementary School in 2001, then served as the district’s Director of Pupil Services and Assistant Superintendent before becoming Superintendent in 2013.“Leading this district has been an honor and privilege I will always cherish,” said Dr. Gallagher. “I am deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Our students, staff, families, and community inspire me every single day. As I prepare for this next chapter, I do so with immense gratitude for the trust and partnership that have defined my years here.”

  On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, we invite you to a heartfelt memorial ceremony to honor the tremendous dedication and effort that brought the SAVE House and Connections Building to life. These two landmarks, deeply intertwined with the SAVE Club at Souderton Area High School (SAHS), have symbolized creativity, collaboration, and countless transformative educational experiences for students and the broader community. The event will take place at the SAVE properties located at West Broad Street Elementary School in the serene setting of the Outdoor Classroom. Rain or shine, we’ll gather under tents, warmed by heaters if needed, to celebrate these buildings' remarkable impact over the years. This ceremony is an opportunity to reflect on those memories and honor the work countless students, staff, and community members devoted to nurturing these spaces and the vibrant programs they hosted.
