Support the SAHS Pathway Program This Summer!

Mentorship opportunities are something that the Souderton Area High School helps to provide students all year round! Right now we are seeking volunteers to spend some time with SAHS students and share with them about your own career path!

Here’s a quick overview of what you should know:

The Pathway Career Exploration experience

June 14 - June 16, Students voluntarily participate in a “three-day career exploration experience.” Built on the idea that “You can’t be what you can’t see.”

There are 15 programs offered that cover a wide range of potential career fields, with the goal of helping students get some additional perspective on careers they might be interested in after their educational journey in SAHS is over. Students work with professionals within a variety of fields to learn about job opportunities, skills, applications, job perspectives, and personal career journeys.

Guest speakers and projects vary within each area. Each program features a field trip. Students who attend will earn mentorship credit if they complete all sessions.

The program costs $125 per student, and each Pathway within the program is limited to 18 students. Last year, the entire program was filled!

Registration for students is now available. What we need from alumni: willing volunteers, either to serve as mentors or to offer their time to speak to our students about their own career paths!

Guidelines for potential business partners

Career Videos:
Career videos will afford students the opportunity to learn about a variety of career fields from professionals who are passionate about what they do. Videos should be 5-6 minutes in length, focusing on a professional's career journey, skills needed for their job, and any advice for a student interested in this career field. Videos will only be seen by presenters, SAHS students, and teachers. If you are a SAHS Alumni please share courses you took while at Souderton and any tips that helped you while you were here. Creating the videos is quick and easy! Please see the attached self-guided directions on how to use Flipgrid and a list of questions you can use to help make your video.
